There are walking routes suitable for all abilities including an idyllic trail along the River Esk. Visit Upper Eskdale, home to Hardknott Roman Fort and Muncaster Castle. If you want to arrive in style, book a ticket on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Miniature Gauge Steam Railway.
